This original design was created on a whole cloth which I painted, dyed and free motion quilted with Sunset Grove Wonderful thread collection. It commemorates the spirit of the north rim of the Grand Canyon which was impacted by the wild fires in 2025.

On the road again! Recently I presented to the Foothills Quilters Guild in Shelby. What a wonderful group of quilters. I did one of my favorite programs, ” Color Confidence” where I talked about ways of adding color to your quilts with paint, dyes, and ink. It was so much fun!!! Can’t wait to see the amazing way they use color

I presented “art quilts that speak” to York County Quilters Guild in Rock Hill. This has been a really hot topic for many quilters who want their quilt making to be storytelling. I walk quilters through the process of finding and designing their ideas in fabric.

“Boy did Margaret deliver, she taught me how to get the ideas out of my head and my heart and put them together onto a quilt. I am so grateful Margaret came into my life.
This journey has changed my life. Thank you so much to be honest I am beyond words sometimes, I appreciate you so much and how this journey with you has changed my life.“

Stories often live in old forgotten photos. Learn how to bring those photos to life create a lasting huggable art quilt legacy!
The Gladys Quilt is a heartfelt tribute to my Great Aunt Gladys, a woman whose adventurous spirit and can-do attitude left a lasting mark on everyone around her. This quilt captures the essence of her unforgettable 1957 road trip across Americaโa journey filled with exploration, family bonding, and cherished memories. Itโs a reminder that our life stories can inspire beautiful art, weaving together the past and present in a meaningful way.

Quilt making is story telling. Each quilt is a conversation that you can wrap up in and love.

Sometimes you just need a small project that makes you smile –
